Job Summary

Continuous Improvement (CI) is a key priority in our journey to becoming the Premier Utility. In 2020, a centralized CI function was established, responsible for increasing adoption of continuous improvement practices at Entergy to maximize sustainable value for our stakeholders.

The CI business model consists of the Office of Strategy Management (OSM), CI Deployment, Intelligent Automation and a CI Business Partner (CIBP) focus to enable opportunities to maximize end-to-end value across the company’s business functions.

The Analyst, Sr. Staff (CI) reports to the Manager, CI Strategy. The position’s primary objective is to help evolve and refine the CI enterprise strategies. The key focus areas of this role are to develop and continually improve program governance, benchmark to enable strategic insights and CI opportunities, and manage best practice sharing processes to support the organization in achieving its outcomes.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and monitor the CI enterprise strategy and related work and deliverables in the responsibility area of the OSM

  • Develop and manage a benchmarking process and tools

  • Create and facilitate a best practice sharing process across Entergy business units, with utility peers, and top performers outside the utility industry

  • Build partnerships and continuously engage CI counterparts to ensure a seamless delivery of CI services to the enterprise

  • Other duties, as assigned or required

Minimum Requirements

Minimum education and experience required of the position

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business-related field and minimum 10+ years of professional experience is required OR in lieu of degree minimum 14+ years of professional experience is required.

  • The preferred candidate has experience in strategy development, strategy consulting or strategic planning.

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

  • Customer-focused mindset and strong interpersonal skills; ability to effectively interact, communicate and work with diverse groups of people to build strong relationships and influence successful outcomes

  • Self-starter who is able to work independently, manage time effectively and take ownership of results

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, including the ability to identify data trends and convert data analysis into a meaningful summary from which to draw conclusions and provide guidance

  • Continuously look for ways to improve performance and enhance skills through development

Desired knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Green Belt or higher certification a plus

  • Experience in using data analytic tools such as Power BI to create useful reports, visualizations, and interactive dashboards

  • Knowledge of project management tools and techniques
