We are seeking a highly motivated Human Resources Intern to join our growing team.

Nature of Work:

This intern position will work full-time in the Summer of 2020, with potential to continue part-time in the Fall of 2020. This internship is responsible for administrative support of the day-to-day human resources functions. This position reports to the Director of Human Resources and Diversity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Helps facilitate the on-boarding of new employees.

  • Updates and enters data into the HRIS system.

  • Maintains employee recognition program.

  • Creates recruiting, branding, and/or marketing materials for various positions or events in the company.

  • Answers, responds to, and directs as appropriate, phone calls through the HR extension.

  • Partners with payroll team to maintain employee files.

  • Collaborates with HR colleagues to perform generalized HR tasks and projects.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or related field.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to maintain professionalism and provide high customer service.

  • Ability to prioritize, problem solve, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced office environment.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Minimum of sophomore standing.

Desirable Qualifications:

Previous experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook strongly preferred.

Wage:

Starting at $15/hr
