Engineering Technician Associate
Performs a wide range of analytical tasks related to the design, construction, maintenance, and operation of electrical power distribution facilities. Projects include design of distribution facilities (serving residential, commercial and small industrial customers), relocation of existing distribution facilities, distribution system improvements such as minor expansions, conversions, and rebuilds.
Creates work orders, job sketches, material lists, cost estimates, and updates GIS system for new jobs, property damage, and correction of errors to facilities.
Assists in staking and assessment duties.
Applies Engineering Guides, Construction Standards, National Electric Safety Code, NBIC and ASME.
Responds to internal and external inquiries regarding information needed for projects.
Associates Degree in Engineering Technology, Math, Physics or other related technical degree; or completion of sixty (60) hours equivalent college course work toward a technical degree; or Three (3) years Engineering Technician Associate level work.
Completion of six (6) hours of Algebra/Trigonometry/Calculus and six (6) hours of Electrical/Electronics/Physics college course work.
Valid State Driver's License.

Required dexterity to use small hand tools (hammer).
