Consumers Energy Brand Manager in Multiple Locations, Michigan

This position is a key role within Public Affairs to continue to grow the company's brand through Clean Energy goals. This position requires a strong skill set in relationship building and cross functional team execution to develop and execute on key business priorities. Problem solving and creative thinking along with an analytical eye to projects will be essential.
Responsibilities:
Focuses on actions, goals, and objectives to coincide with the mission, vision, and values of our Company and essential business goals
Writes compelling creative briefs and partners with internal and external creative agencies to guide and evaluate creative work, ensuring output is on strategy and on budget
Analyzes research resources and reports on business and competition. Utilizes the information to develop a hypothesis and draw conclusions that support the objectives of the business
Manages the brand budget. Identifies changes impacting the budget and proactively communicate implications and recommendations
Manages and flawlessly leads execution of various projects. Fosters collaboration, motivates and inspires teams to achieve their highest potential
Collaborates with a broad group of cross-functional partners to develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market plans, cross-channel communication strategies, generate new ideas, manage projects and resolve issues. Foster and develop relationships to ensure project timelines are met and conflict is resolved or escalated in a timely fashion
Requirements:
- 5+ years brand experience preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Solid Marketing skills
Strong presentation and communication skills to influence both internal customers (cross-functional teams) and external marketplace, distributors, and consumers
Solid budget management experience
Solid project management experience
Ability to develop and create new initiatives for the brand and assigned businesses
Understanding of marketing strategies, IRI/Nielsen syndicated data, and research methodologies
Strong analytical skills
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and maintain attention to detail
Strong ability to work in teams and build good working relationships
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Must be an enthusiastic, confident change-agent with the ability to work in a demanding and fast-paced environment
Position will be filled at the appropriate salary grade based upon the skills, knowledge, and experience of the selected candidate.
