As a Technical Proposal Writer, your key responsibilities will be to develop proposal content in coordination with Project Managers, Contract Administrators, and Estimators. The Proposal Writer must be detailed oriented, highly organized, and possess strong time management skills. Critical to success are excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to multi-task and work within tight deadlines.

What it takes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent degree from a 4 year college or university

  • 1-3 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Power Point. Competent in Microsoft Excel

  • Must possess a valid driver license with an acceptable driving record

  • Utility construction experience (desired)

  • Negotiating experience (desired)

  • Position requires around 25% travel for job site visits, pre-bid meetings, and pre-construction meetings.
