Responsible for managing corporate business demand for enterprise network services. Manage relationships with key business unit representatives to ensure satisfactory delivery and engagement. Has in depth business acumen and enterprise network knowledge. Collaborates with business customers, Business Systems technical teams to identify and document high level requirements. Responsible to analyze and define technical solutions or recommend processes changes to meet Corporate business needs for enterprise network environment.
This position is posted as a hierarchy at the IT Functional Analyst or Senior IT Functional Analyst level. The successful candidate will be hired at the level that is commensurate with their skills and experience.
Relationship Management – Responsible for strategic management of key customer relationships. Communicates effectively with senior management, key leadership, business peers, IT peers and vendors. Maintains effective working relationships with customers, project team members, subject matter experts and internal IT support teams.
Demand Manage – Contributes to management of demand for enterprise and complex applications or areas of infrastructure including prioritization, release management, and requirements definition. Understands business needs and makes analytical decisions about how applications should function. Determines, develops, and approves functional specifications, documents requirements, manages scope, and coordinates for justifiable solutions. Develops forecasts and budgets for assigned application or infrastructure areas.
Requirements Management – Elicits high level requirements using interviews, documents, storyboards, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios competitive product analysis, task and work workflow analysis. Gains approval for business and technical requirements.
Strategy & Planning – Manages development of IT strategy to support end to end strategy planning. Collaborates with BUs to document key business objectives and strategy to support development of IT technology plan and portfolio. Works with vendors to align their application strategy with IT technology plan. Understands application technology foundation and aligns it into IT technology plan.
Project Delivery – Contributes to conceptual and logical designs. Ensures delivered network solutions meet business requirements. Writes functional and development specifications. Conducts unit and integrations testing. Supports solution/change deployment. Assists with scope, issues and risk management. Provides enterprise network operational support.
Business Process Analysis – Maintains expert knowledge of enterprise and multiple business domains, end-to-end processes. Maintains expert knowledge of related solutions and capabilities or configuration of enterprise networks. Develops expertise on business process and business areas assigned. Creates artifacts and workflows to support communicating current process and changes.
Functional Analyst – Bachelor's degree in business, IT or related field or equivalent experience. Eight yrs application or IT infrastructure support. Demonstrated strong business and technical acumen, in depth knowledge of one or more core applications. Excellent relationship management, facilitation, project management, and problem solving skills. Demonstrated ability to build subject matter and tools expertise, drive consistency in processes. Excellent communication and collaboration skills required.
Senior Functional Analyst - Bachelor's degree in business, IT or related field or equivalent experience. Ten years application or IT infrastructure support. Demonstrated in depth knowledge of one or more enterprise applications or one or more of SAP functional domains and related solutions. Demonstrated ability to recommend innovative technology solutions to support complex business requirements. Excellent relationship management, facilitation, project management, and problem solving skills. Demonstrated ability to build subject matter and tools expertise, drive consistency in processes. Full application life cycle experience. Experience with SAP Solution Manager preferred. Regulated business experience preferred.
Previous employment in customer facing role such as Sales Engineer or Customer Engagement Specialist
Experience at an electric utility
Familiarity with industry regulations including CIP cybersecurity requirements
Experience designing, deploying, and/or supporting enterprise IP network environments
Working knowledge of IPv4/IPv6, MPLS and Carrier Ethernet.
Understanding of application-layer architectures and data center network environments.
