Xcel Energy is offering an internship for Talent Management Systems Support.

Summer schedule: 35-40 hours per week; Academic: 20 hours (minimum) per week) at the Xcel Energy corporate headquarters in downtown Minneapolis.

The intern will support the Talent Technology & Learning Services department in the Human Resources organization.

Please note this is a 12+ month internship. Interns must be able to complete internship while enrolled. If an intern is no longer enrolled the internship will end. Internship can extend longer than 12 months if intern remains enrolled in undergraduate program.

Position Summary

This position will provide end user support and system administration assistance for Xcel Energy talent management systems (learning, performance, recruiting).

Tasks include using troubleshooting skills and business process understanding to respond to internal customer requests for assistance with Talent Management applications, tracking support requests, generating reports, using data to document business processes and identify process improvement opportunities, using system functionality to execute business processes and assisting in special projects.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program

• Critical thinking, detail orientation, customer service and interpersonal skills required

• Must be self-motivated, have a good learning and technology aptitude, and the ability to work well with others


• Academic focus in Human Resources or related discipline

• Customer support experience, ideally information technology related

• Experience with talent management business processes (e.g. talent acquisition, learning, performance)
