Position Specific Description

Employees in this role lead the team of engineers in operating all solar energy and battery storage centers within the FPL Solar PV fleet in Southern Florida. Under general direction, leaders manage all aspects of business and operations maintaining and injury free work force while achieving production and business targets.

Job Overview

Employees in this role lead a team of engineers or technical specialists that perform engineering functions. This may include negotiating critical and controversial issues with top level engineers and officers of other organizations and companies and having responsibility for one or more programs of such diversity and scope to be of critical importance to overall company objectives.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a high degree of creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in anticipating and solving unprecedented engineering/technical complexities, determining program objectives and requirements, organizing programs and projects

• Develops standards and guidelines for diverse technical and engineering activities

• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• High School Grad / GED

• Bachelor's - Engineering

• Experience:7+ years

• Supervisor/Management Experience:2+ years

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Professional Engineer (PE)

• Six Sigma Black Belt Certified

• Six Sigma Green Belt Certified

• Master's Degree

• Six Sigma Master Black Belt
