Brief Posting Description
The CCC Production Operator is responsible for the daily operation of heavy equipment in an active mine environment. All work must be completed in a safe and efficient manner in support of mining operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate an off road haul truck and other equipment, as assigned.
Operate in a safe and efficient manner, causing the least wear and/or damage to the equipment and mine property.
Support mining operations by safely maintaining high productivity standards.
Complete loading and hauling operations with all types of materials in all weather conditions, and within safety requirements and accurate delivery of material to assigned dump locations.
Know the work area and dump locations in the mine.
Safety conscious with a basic knowledge of pit policies and procedures.
Have basic knowledge of mechanical system and demonstrated ability to perform and document a through pre-operational inspection to evaluate mechanical condition of the truck.
Complete all work in accordance with the agreed plan and outcomes, and within the operating capacities of the equipment.
Perform manual labor to prepare or finish sites, such as shoveling by hand and use of wheelbarrow.
Responsible for keeping all equipment clean, free of hazards, and set up properly for the on-coming shift.
Monitor crushing operations and perform labor and wash down/clean-up activities for maintenance, as needed.
Compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Meet or exceed established performance expectations set by management.

Perform other work or assist others as assigned by supervisor.
Adhere to company policies, programs and procedures as well as Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP), Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC), Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), and Midwest Reliability Organization (MRO) standards, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) laws and regulations and Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA).
Safety: Maintain safety awareness and comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures to assure a safe working environment. Properly wear and care for applicable safety gear and equipment. Identify and communicate unsafe conditions to supervisor, coworkers, and the Safety functional area and correct or assist in resolving safety concerns and issues. Must understand and comply with the Clearance Procedure as applicable.

Must be able to operate a 2-way radio and follow instructions.
Operational knowledge of startup and shutdown procedures, and lock out, tag out.
Blind spot recognition is required.
Must understand grade, proper barricading, loader set up, trail cable layout and road designs/repairs.
Assist with cable and equipment moves; may operate various pieces of heavy equipment as necessary to support operations.
Periodically do visual inspections of the shovel and bucket and report any problems to the shovel operator.
Possess good communications and interpersonal skills.
Must keep accurate records of loads and equipment condition.
Must understand the functions of the MineStar panel.
Must be able to read and understand written documentation.
Help develop other department personnel to perform duties listed above.
Must be able to satisfactorily complete related company training programs.

High School diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience working in an active surface mine, preferred.
Practical knowledge of surface mining operations.
Knowledge of federal and state mining laws.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Basic computer skills.
- Previous experience operating 100+ ton or off road trucks or other heavy equipment operation, preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.

Physical demands: While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent will be exposed to continual sitting, occasional walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, and frequent twisting. Simple and power grasping, dominant and non-dominant. Reaching above and below the shoulder. Use of feet to operate foot controls. Visual requirements are low light, near, far and lateral vision, and depth perception. Auditory requirements are hearing signals, radio routine communications. Occasional lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs.
Mental demands: While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is required to read, write, analyze and review data, exercise judgment and work independently.
Work Environment: Drives haul trucks and other heavy equipment. Works near hazardous machinery. Walks on uneven ground, exposed to dust, noise, and solvents.
