Alliant Energy Talent Development Consultant in Madison, Wisconsin
Consults with managers, subject-matter-experts, and other human resource staff to assess and identify individual, group and/or team performance gaps and development needs.
Selects, customizes and delivers training solutions to close performance gaps and address development needs, including programs related to leadership and supervisory skills, team development, corporate competencies, customer relations skills, diversity, interviewing skills, and other non-technical areas.
Follows up with managers and supervisors to assess training effectiveness and evaluate employee development progress.
Provides counsel to employees on individual development plans.
Creates and maintains resources and tools for the department and marketing of training and development solutions.
Provides instructional skills support, on an advisory basis, for technical trainers.
Applies systems, processes, tools and techniques to all training and employee development work efforts that are current in the industry.

The Alliant Energy Talent Development department is currently seeking a Talent Development Consultant to work out of our headquarters in Madison, WI. The individual selected for this role will deliver training and development solutions to employees across the organization. A successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to consult with leaders and employees, build strong relationships and quickly establish credibility with their target audience.
This position may require up to 20% travel, primarily concentrated through Alliant Energy's Wisconsin service territory.
Alliant Energy will not provide sponsorship for an employment visa now or in the future for this position.

Required Education and Experience
- This position requires Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in adult learning, instructional design, education, behavioral sciences, organizational development, business or a related discipline AND five years of related experience OR in the absence of a degree nine years of related experience.
- Additional training and/or certifications in instructional design, employee development, organization development/design, human services and/or other related instructional/training areas from an accredited institution or company
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Demonstrated ability to consult effectively with managers and employees at various levels of the organization.
Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
Demonstrated competency in needs assessment, instructional design, training and development implementation, team development skills, performance measurement and evaluation and the use of adult learning principles.
Demonstrated ability to use computer software programs and audio visual equipment (e.g., e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, and PowerPoint software).
Ability to work in a diverse work environment and present to a diverse audience.
