Nature of Work:

This position is responsible for day-to-day field operations of a 500,000-pound or smaller directional drill rig.

Duties and Responsibilities: Duties listed below may vary in terms of importance and other duties may be added or eliminated as this position develops.

  • Operate large equipment of various size and weights to prepare worksites, dig excavations, and more.

  • Ensure equipment is operated and transported in a safe and secure way.

  • Perform routine inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and refers defects or repairs to the supervisor; cleans equipment.

  • Work in adherence to safe practices, procedures, and work site or traffic laws.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Required Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience operating directional drills

  • CDL A required

  • Knowledge of proper operation of heavy equipment as well as safety standards

  • Strong work ethic and physical ability to lift 50+ pounds

  • Keen attention to detail and situational awareness to maintain the safety of the work environment
