Access Control/FFD Department:

The Access Control/FFD Group is responsible for Access Authorization to Nuclear Power Plants program, Fitness for Duty Program and Safeguards Information (SGI) Clearance Program. This involves administering psychological testing, personal history questionnaires, reviewing background check information, collecting or coordinating FBI fingerprinting, interviewing personnel, performance of drug screening and scheduling of employee physicals. The organization is responsible for issuing unescorted access request letters and employee physicals required for nuclear power plant access.

  • Job Description: *

  • Framatome is seeking a Screening Coordinator I to work in it's office located on Mill Ridge Rd., in Lynchburg, VA. *

Responsibilities and duties include:

  • Will be responsible for coordinating and implementing all aspects of the Framatome employee fitness for duty program (FFD).

  • Will be responsible for employee alcohol and drug screening in the US Region and act as the area FFD collection official.

  • Responsible for maintaining FFD procedures and operating instructions.

  • Will schedule and distribute employee physicals to customers as required.

  • Will maintain employee and contractor medical records.

  • Will issue and maintain contracts/purchase orders with testing laboratories and medical providers.

  • Check invoices against services provided and submit billing and invoices.

  • Will be required to communicate up down and across all levels of the organization including external contact personnel and customers.

  • Must maintain confidential personal identity and medical information.

  • May be called upon to perform employment verifications and proctor psychological assessment testing.

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

  • Willing to be on call after hours as needed.

Ideal candidate would have experience in the field of occupational medicine, such as the following:

  • Alcohol screening

  • Urine collection

  • Venipuncture

  • Sample preparation

  • Chain of custody

  • Reporting

  • Medical records and record keeping

  • High school diploma with 0-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

  • Valid driver's license.

  • Ability to clear a background investigation and psychological assessment administered by the company.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interact with all levels of staff.

  • Ability to change priorities quickly, confront issues directly, and work well as part of a team.

  • Proficient in decision making.

  • Proficiency in PC-based applications (i.e. - Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and internal data base applications).

  • Ability to maintain composure when confronted with challenges.

  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Experience with SAP purchase requests and Work Cycle.

Sporadic (5%) domestic travel.
