An Accountant in Treasury Management provides administration and maintenance of company’s cash functions. Assists in maintaining line of credit program and commercial paper, as well as other finance duties related to debt and forecasting in support of the general accounting functions.
Assists with daily cash management, banking and investment transactions within the treasury function, including completing wire transactions and maintenance of the line of credit program.
Ensures compliance with the Treasury Manual and line of credit program.
Assists with AECC’s commercial paper program and prepares cash deposits for all bank accounts.
Prepares journal entries related to treasury and/or finance and assists with the verification of recorded transactions to ensure appropriateness, accuracy and validity.
Reconciles ledger accounts affecting treasury and participates as a team member in the monthly and annual general ledger closing processes of AECC and AECI.
Prepares audit schedules, reports, and analyses for departmental use, as well as for external and internal audit requests.
Assists with payroll functions as assigned by the Supervisor Treasury & Payroll Services, including the ability to coordinate and administer payroll as needed.
Assists with finance duties, including completion of loan compliance documents, monthly debt journal entries and other analyses as needed.
Create and modify procedures and documents related to insurance policies.
Assist in claims management and communicate to internal and external stakeholders regarding claims status.
Manage insurance data for reports and complete financial analysis of insurance data to assist with decision making.
Develops process improvements to promote departmental efficiency.
Assists with preparing annual budget for treasury department; prepares special reports, accounting analyses, allocations, and assist with special projects.
Provides technical assistance to corporate personnel and cross trains within department.
Handles stress effectively and works well with others.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum Experience Required
- Accountant II: At least 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
