National Grid is hiring a Senior Analyst for our Lincoln, RI location.
The Senior Analyst Business Contracts supports the day-to-day operations of the company and is a primary point of contact for both employees and customers. This role will support the overall project team in delivering a quality product on time and within budget through effective preparation, coordination and management of project schedules, sub-contractors and suppliers, requiring in-depth knowledge of process and control procedures under general supervision with this position, you will experience a wide variety of task as listed below. This position requires a person to be flexible with their job responsibilities as they will be performing a wide variety of tasks. In addition, coordinate and plan department wide-activities and the inclusion of data to more effectively and efficiently accomplish company and divisional goals.
Maintaining and submitting department wide information requirements and documents.
Provide administrative supervision to department staff in completing work orders
Maintaining collection records for customers; assist in calls and working with agency
Provide consistent communication with customers/contractors on status of shipments and provides notification as needed prior to arrival on site.
Monitor project budget and report large variances to finance as they arise.
Responsible to review and process all vendor/contractor invoices
Responsible to review and maintain all contractor/vendor contracts
Responsible for the data integrity of departmental information entered into the Customer Service System
Ensures communication with customers and/or other team members is conducted in a manner that builds trust and leads to efficient problem resolutions.
Responsible to review and submit all reporting on stock items, units retiring, installations, and collection on water heaters
Work with cities and towns agencies on pulling permits to work on all orders in a timely manner
Develop marketing strategies to continuous enhance and move the department forward
Strong written and communication skills
Adheres to all safety policies and procedures in accordance with guidelines established by the Company/OSHA; pursues safety initiatives in the support of the Company's vision of "zero accidents"; maintains a clean, safe and orderly environment
Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required
Experience in building effective internal and external relationships combined with strong negotiating and influencing skills.
Effective communication skills, including ability to produce and deliver high quality written reports and presentation material to internal or external audiences at a senior level.
A Bachelor’s degree in a related area or equivalent work experience preferred (3 years)
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments and tasks simultaneously
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in CSS, SAP and Microsoft Office
