Developmental Intern - Electrical Engineering
The successful candidate will be responsible for executing complete engineering projects as assigned from the department engineering backlog. In addition, there are multiple opportunities to work on department organization tasks as needs arise. Also, assist in the daily activities involving troubleshooting and repairing heavy industrial equipment.
Executing all the phases of implementing engineering projects.
Working within a fast paced deadline driven environment.
Witness and experience the role of engineers in a maintenance environment.
Organizational skills working with multiple projects.
- Time management skills as they apply in a multiple priority environment
Technical skills required include:
Windows OS, Office programs (Word, Excel, and Access)• Electrical Blueprint reading• Electrical Circuits• Communications/network terminology
Soft skills include:
- Able to work alone with little direction. • Work with other departments.• Work within an established procedural guideline• Able to work in a Union Environment
Intern will support six electrical engineers and supervisors in the Niagara Electrical Maintenance Department
It is preferred that applicants be enrolled in their 3rd year of college with a minimum 3.0 GPA for participation in this program.
