NiSource Sr Leader Field Operations in Lawrence, Massachusetts
Provide leadership, technical coaching, performance support and mentor field operations leaders (FOLs) and field operations specialists (FOSs)
Provide leadership, direction, and performance coaching to the front line workforce
Facilitate effective two-way communication, especially between front-line leaders and the rest of the organization
Actively involved in the development, training, and evaluation of front-line leaders to improve individual and team performance
Create an environment in which front-line leaders are actively involved in driving accountability and execution
Focus on directing field performance to ensure compliance with budgetary goals and objectives
Ensure an ongoing relationship with key internal operations partners.
Lead safe, efficient operations, providing direction and support to ensure optimal use of resources and timely, safe, and quality service.
Build strong working relationships with internal and external groups to coordinate work efforts and support the community relationships of the Operations Center Management.
Required for Selection:
Three (3) years experience in natural gas distribution operations (or equivalent, i.e. HVAC, plumbing, underground utility construction)
Demonstrated experience with quality improvement principles (e.g., process or productivity improvements, TQM)
Demonstrated knowledge of gas distribution field operations policies and Massachusetts gas standards
Knowledge of mainframe operations support systems (WMS, CIS, DIS, Workbrain)
Demonstrated knowledge of actions to take when technical, functional and safety problems occur.
Strong knowledge of on-the-job safety and compliance requirements.
Demonstrated knowledge and ability to quickly assess and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
Demonstrated knowledge and ability to grasp technical explanations of plant/service scenarios and draw accurate conclusions.
Demonstrated Leadership experience
Working knowledge of PC applications
Education Level Required for Selection:
Diploma from an accredited high school or a GED
Preferred for Selection
Bachelors or associates degree from an accredited institution
