InfraSource Work Injury and Claims Coordinator in Kansas City, Missouri

  • Embody and ability to apply the company’s core values of safety, quality, ownership, integrity, service and team.

  • Manage work-related employee injuries from start to finish, including direct communication with injured workers, safety personnel, field operations team, insurance company and third-party administrator claim representatives, medical providers (including company’s national telephonic medical consultants), human resources, and risk and legal teams. Time management, problem-solving, teamwork, communication, and organizational skills are an absolute must.

  • Keep operations leadership informed throughout the claims and injury management process. Clear, concise and timely communication is essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.

  • In addition to workers’ compensation claims, assist with management of general liability and auto claims, as needed.

  • Ability to carefully review and understand medical documentation to assist with incident investigation, OSHA compliance, and company’s return-to-work program.

  • Knowledge of OSHA recordkeeping regulations is preferred. Assist with preparation and management of OSHA recordkeeping logs, as needed.

  • Prepare necessary incident and claims-related forms, reports, logs and records, as needed. Some data entry in claims management database will be required.

  • General knowledge and understanding of state workers’ compensation systems. Ability to learn the nuances of workers’ compensation laws in several states/jurisdictions.

  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.

  • Some on-call evening and weekend time will be required on occasion depending on time/location/severity of incidents. Some minimal travel may be required.
