Position Specific Description

This position will be an IT Nuclear Technology Analyst for the Information Technology Nuclear organization supporting Nuclear Innovation efforts. The Nuclear Information Technology Innovation group is responsible for implementing cutting edge technology inside of our power plants. We are seeking someone to lead our high-performing team to provide innovative direction and execution for our business partners.

Experience with the following is highly desired for the role:

• Python Development

• Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Drones/Robotics

• General knowledge of a typical industrial environment (utility experience preferred)

• Due to the 24-hour, 7 day per week nature of power generation, night, weekend, and holiday support via telephone or call-out, is required.

• Travel to sites throughout the United States averages about 25-40%

Job Overview

This position is responsible for strategically designing, developing, integrating and implementing information systems and networked software architectures that support core organizational functions. Individuals in this position secure organizational commitment for all systems and software plans and evaluate and select all technologies required to complete those plans. Employees in this position are responsible for supporting daily system operations within a specified discipline on a 24-hour/7-day-a-week basis.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Utilizes knowledge of major components of information technology to recommend innovative solutions, as they relate to current and future business environments

  • Analyzes, plans, designs, tests, debugs, configures and operates new and current information systems

  • Ensures application processes are conducted in line with applicable standards and company policies

  • Applies appropriate Agile or development methodologies, system development lifecycles, tools and technology, to manage development activities

  • Automates the handoff of code releases from development to operations, wherever possible

  • Aligns technology to nuclear business and refueling operations

  • Builds strong working understanding of the solution being delivered

  • Participates in the change management and service ticket management processes, including response and resolution monitoring

  • Applies knowledge and experience and uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services

  • Acts as liaison with regulatory agencies, vendors, and contractors on matters relating to computer systems, as required

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED

  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience

  • Experience: 3+ years

  • Bachelor's - Information Systems
