Position Specific Description For this specific position, we are seeking a candidate that has Subject Matter Expertise in rotating equipment Machinery Diagnostics and condition assessment using vibration and process data to provide hands on and remote diagnostics. This position will require knowledge and proficiency in a wide variety of rotating equipment vibration matters including balancing, alignment, resonance, and process anomalies in a large fleet of power plants nationwide. Emphasis on Wind Turbines and may also support Combustion Turbines, Generators, large Steam Turbines, 4KV+ Motors and Pumps, Compressors & Boiler Fans.
Candidate will be working with analysis and process data from: Bently Nevada System 1, Adre, Emerson Machinery Health Manager, CSI Machinery Heath Analyzer, IOtech Analyzer, EZTOMAS analysis software and OSISoft PI system, Adapt, MAARs and Gram & Juhl, so proficiency in same are required for success.
Candidate will work closely with support groups identifying opportunities to improve monitoring and prediction efforts utilizing vibration data. A working knowledge of basic coding and statistic’s maybe necessary for successfully establishing operating parameters to predict potential failures. Experience developing algorithms utilizing various data systems is a plus.
Troubleshooting of instrumentation related to vibration data collection from Bently 3500, Gram & Juhl TCM, and Uptime Solutions Wireless system.
Support Combustion Turbine, Steam Turbine, and Rotating Equipment teams in diagnosing equipment anomalies along with recommended corrective actions.
A strong working knowledge of Root Cause Failure Analysis is necessary to accomplish reliability goals.
Travel to power plants will be required for onsite troubleshooting support.
