Our Engineering & Construction Division is seeking a Sr Engineer – SCADA & Control to join their team in Juno Beach, FL.

Employees in this role have the responsibility of organizing, designing, and executing various energy storage projects. This involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope, engineering oversight and consulting across cross-functional teams to deliver a best in class product.

Day to day activities as the Senior Engineer include:

• Perform detailed design engineering of major components for large scale Energy Storage projects

• Prepare technical scopes of work for incorporation into contract documents

• Support projects from conception through execution working closely with preconstruction and construction project managers

• Influence project teams in the engineering aspects of the technical work

• Maintain familiarity with the progress and problems in assigned technical areas

• Collaborate with suppliers to successfully integrate major equipment

• Collaborate with multi-disciplined teams for problem solving, improvement opportunities, and system integration and controls

• Identify value engineering opportunities as well as emerging technology prospects

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with work experience as an SME in the Solar and/or Bulk Energy Storage Industry, with established expertise in one or more of the following areas is preferred:

• Power electronics

• Battery storage system design

• Substation design

• Generation tie design

Strong knowledge of technologies in energy storage including varying battery chemistries, power conversion units and DC/DC converters and familiarity with storage safety codes and standards including UL1973, UL9540, UL9540A, NFPA 855, NFPA 70E, NEC and applicable IFC/IBC sections are desirable.
