Position Specific Description

Employees in this role apply diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices during the design phase for solar PV, energy storage, and distributed generation projects. The successful candidate will play a key-role in supporting pre-COD engineering initiatives and activities.

  • Review electrical details, drawings and supporting documents for large-scale solar PV, distributed generation, and energy storage projects

  • Provide value engineering solutions during development, pre-construction and construction phases that support operational objectives

  • Read and interpret construction drawings and documents

  • Support evaluation of new technologies

  • Support engineering standards management

  • Effectively manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously, frequently within an aggressive and compressed schedule

  • Work cross-functionally with key project stakeholders

  • Support asset management

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering

  • Expert knowledge of National Electrical Code

  • Working knowledge of IEEE standards

  • General knowledge of construction principles, processes, and plans

  • 5+ years experience with Solar PV and battery energy storage design

  • Knowledge of SCADA and DAS systems

  • Data systems expertise

  • Maximo experience
