Position Specific Description

The Digital Media Buyer will work closely with our renewable energy advocacy team to develop search and social media public affairs campaigns that build community support, counter misinformation, and influence decision makers for clean energy projects. In this role you will be responsible for all aspects of the campaign process from collaborative planning with internal stakeholders to ad strategy development and execution. The ideal candidate is a highly organized media buying professional who is passionate about clean energy.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Strategize, launch, analyze and optimize Facebook and Google advertising campaigns

  • Manage the campaign structure and budgets across a large portfolio of ad accounts

  • Collaborate with social media team members to determine ad optimizations and copy based on community management engagements and social sentiment

  • Research and propose paid search campaigns on Google and Bing, including design and development of strategy, identification of proper landing pages, keyword research, ad copywriting, and post-click tagging for campaign analysis and continuous improvement

  • Execute multi-channel lead generation and grassroots advocacy direct response campaigns

  • Partner with email and web team members to evaluate the end-to-end customer experience and identify areas of opportunity to improve campaign performance

  • Write ad copy and partner with agency and studio partners on creative development by providing guidance on ad formats utilizing platform best practices as well as performance data

  • Develop A/B testing strategies to improve campaign performance

  • Remain flexible to the needs of the business and activate paid/boosted campaigns, often with a short turnaround time, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Analyze campaign metrics, develop insightful reports, make recommendations, and tell a story from data

  • Work cross-functionally with web and IT teams to implement campaign tracking tags

  • Work with the team to brainstorm new and innovative ideas to reach business objectives

  • Keep current on platform updates, best practices, and strategies in the management of online paid media

  • Be willing to support on occasional nights or weekends as needed

What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years of paid campaign management at an agency or enterprise brand

  • Political, advocacy, and/or public affairs acumen and background strongly preferred

  • Excellent communication and writing skills – strong attention to detail

  • Proven track record of managing a high volume of campaigns across various accounts and platforms

  • Team player who can help drive best-in-class digital marketing solutions

  • Google AdWords and Bing Certifications

  • Proficiency in social ad platform/campaign set-up on Facebook

  • Knowledge of Sprinklr, Adobe Analytics, and Adobe Campaign Manager preferred
