Position Specific Description

The Cloud Solutions & Services (CSS) team is seeking an IT Technology Manager to join our team. The CSS team provides services in public cloud and on-premise infrastructure to host enterprise applications. As an IT Technology Manager, you will be the service owner, responsible for design, deployment, and operations of multiple services. You will partner with the IT Technology Directory for service strategy. We are seeking a leader who is innovative, results-oriented, plans strategically, builds relationships, advocates change, and positively motivates people.

Essential experience:

  • Ten or more years of experience in Information Technology

  • Three or more years of leadership responsibilities, including people leadership, strategy, business case planning, and operational accountability

  • Planning, designing, developing, and operating IT services consumed by over 1000 internal customers

  • Development of staff through coaching, mentoring, and performance management

  • Managing third-party managed service providers and contract workforce

    Highly desired skills:

  • Technical expertise in one or more of the following areas at substantial scale (over 100 enterprise applications) – container orchestration, application load balancing, public cloud services, desktop and application virtualization, hyper-converged infrastructure, on-premise private cloud

  • Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, planning, problem solving, and execution skills

  • Strong business acumen, with ability to develop and maintain chargeback models

  • Managing IT services as a business with capital investments, expenses, and revenue

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to explain technical concepts and plans to IT and business leaders

Job Overview

This position establishes strategy, develops business plans, and oversees and manages the design, development and implementation of technology solutions to meet business needs. Leaders in this role provide leadership and oversight to manage performance and results in one or more Information Technology (IT) disciplines. Individuals will be accountable for the reliability, performance, security, and continuity of IT systems and supported business processes.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership, influence, vision, and direction to the organization to contribute to achieving the company's goals

  • Works with IT leaders to develop overall IT strategy in alignment with business strategy

  • Oversees value stream by focusing on cost and risks of technology portfolio to meet business needs

  • Supports and fosters innovative technologies to deliver new ideas that enable business transformation

  • Ensures high levels of ongoing system and application performance in production environments

  • Oversees development of processes and tools to automate code releases from development to operations (DevOps)

  • Attracts, develops and retains a high-performing and diverse team

  • Establishes and drives technology roadmaps that align with current and future business needs

  • Manages third party technical and outsourcing relationships to deliver project and operational support objectives

  • Ensures technology processes are conducted in line with applicable standards and company policies

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED

  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience

  • Experience: 8+ years

  • Supervisor/Management Experience: 2+ years
