We are looking for a proven leader to provide leadership and direction to the HR Operations Learning & Development team during an exciting time of transition and change in our company. In this role, you will be responsible for the administration, development, maintenance, execution and evaluation of tools, processes and in limited instances programs enabling the learning and development of over 13,000 employees and leaders enterprise-wide.
This leader must collaborate extensively with the learning strategy and practice owners to assess needs, identify solutions, and implement actions within an ever changing environment. The successful candidate must be well versed and experienced in the application of adult learning principles and modern learning technology. A laser focus is necessary to implement solutions that deliver learning at the time, place, and pace our employees need it. These solutions will include a wide range of experiential, social, and formal learning opportunities delivered through a broad range of modalities including micro-learning, interactive computer based training, and augmented/virtual reality.
This position provides a great opportunity to lead a high performing team of learning professionals overseeing Entergy and contract vendor learning programs to ensure our employees are prepared to excel in current and future roles. This leader must model Entergy’s employee and leadership practices while directing the team and interacting with our internal customers. This will require the ability to manage competing priorities under tight timelines for the purpose of achieving measurable results tied to Entergy’s business objectives.
Job Duties / Responsibilities
Partner with Talent Management learning strategy and practice owners to implement strategies to drive business results through people.
Assists Talent Management in reviewing Learning and Development across the enterprise (Individual Contributors to Leaders) to understand the current levels and stages of talent development for Entergy and defining the needs of the enterprise.
Evaluate a wide range of learning solutions and provide recommended approaches to provide learning solutions that meet the needs of our employees.
Developing a plan to execute a holistic program of learning development for the different levels and stages.
Develop and maintain appropriate performance metrics, consistent with a high performing learning organization.
Evaluates the effectiveness of learning solutions.
Meet financial objectives by estimating budget requirements - prepare and execute an annual budget to realize departmental/corporate budget targets.
Executes all aspects of learning vendor contracts to include compliance and quality assurance.
Ensures work produced meets and exceeds service and quality standards established with internal customers.
Minimum Education Required for this Position
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Psychology, Organizational Development, or related field or the equivalent work experience.
Minimum Experience Required for the Position
5+ years’ experience in learning and development, leadership development and/or organizational development in an adult learning environment.
3 years’ supervisory experience managing learning and development teams.
Strong communication, problem solving and leadership skills.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively, and manage resources, within a matrix environment.
Demonstrated ability to execute adult learning theories, curriculum development, multiple learning technologies, and advanced learning techniques. Prior experience integrating augmented/virtual reality and other advanced learning technology into employee development programs desired.
Experience managing learning management software.
