Plans, coordinates, leads, performs and documents QA oversight activities, which include audits, surveillances, observations, reviews and performance analysis. Demonstrates leadership, sound judgment, maturity and analytical ability.
Assist in the day-to-day management of the Corporate Quality Assurance Department. Develop and maintain Nuclear Oversight programs, policies, processes, and procedures. Analyze site Nuclear Oversight assessment/observations and audit results to identify fleet issues and provide insights.
Develop responses to fleet identified issues in the Corrective Action and Learning Organization processes. Develop and administer training and qualification of site and fleet personnel responsible for performance of Oversight activities.
Assist in the development and administration of the Oversight Business Plan. Develop Nuclear Oversight Trimester Reports. Develop various management meeting presentations
Maintain Nuclear Oversight performance indicators. Develop and maintain the Entergy Quality Assurance Program Manual (QAPM). Perform 10 CFR 50.54(a) evaluations. Prepare and submit annual QAPM report to NRC.
Develop and implement Major Project Quality Plans. Develop and execute surveillances on selected activities. Develop and maintain fleet audit and assessment schedules. Develop and maintain Master Audit Plans. Participate in fleet audit Vulnerability Reviews, Checklist and Plan development.
Lead and/or participate on site and/or fleet assessments or audits. Lead and/or participate in fleet and industry NIEP evaluations. Coordinate Entergy Nuclear Industry Evaluation Process (NIEP) evaluations. Coordinate Technical Specialist support for fleet and industry audits, NIEPs and technical exchanges. Perform as Audit Team Leader or team member on site, fleet, or industry audits. Lead and/or participate in fleet and industry NIEP evaluations.
Minimum education required of the position
B.S. Degree in Engineering or other closely related scientific discipline / physical science generally associated with power plant operations or equivalent experience.
Minimum experience required of the position
6 years nuclear power plant experience in a line management or supervisory function or equivalent commercial experience.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Qualification as an Audit Team Leader requires prior experience in overall implementation of a Nuclear Quality Assurance Program. Reference ANSI/ANS N45.2.23-1978, 'Qualification of Quality Assurance Program Audit Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Proficiency in Microsoft Office personal computer applications; Strong leadership and analytical skills. Qualification in a technical discipline, e.g., Maintenance or Engineering
Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position
Desired: SRO license or certification on a PWR or BWR
