The Vendor Management Analyst supports the efforts of developing, promoting and facilitating all aspects of the IT vendor management program. The Analyst will monitor & report vendor performance and adherence to contractual requirements; support the alignment of the organization’s vendor management practices to its strategy; and help identify & realize opportunities for contract cost reduction. This role reports up to the IT Vendor Management Lead and will be required to work closely with internal IT business partners, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Suppliers.

Requirements:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in a Business or Technology related field. Less than a bachelor’s degree may be acceptable if accompanied by other business/technical training and extensive experience (internal/external) in positions that demonstrate required abilities and performance.

  • 2+ years of experience

For strategic and other selected vendors, monitor and report on vendor performance to contract (e.g., service level agreement (SLA) attainment or adherence to deliverables and obligations),

Perform monthly audit of SLA reporting and reconcile discrepancies as required with the service provider.

Review and approve all SLA credit reporting to ensure conformance to contracts and propoer accounting.

Manage the SLA update/refresh process prescribed within assigned contracts.

Coordinate with business partners and IT Vendor Management (ITVM) staff to aggregate vendor contract performance data and, as requested, collaborate and follow-through with business partners in obtaining contractual remedies, developing a remediation plan with the vendor, or developing a vendor exit strategy. Develop vendor contract performance data and report out to business partners.

Manage Visa Letters process for IT contractors.

Monitor and support the Company FERC certification requirements for all IT contractors.

Execute program to measure customer satisfaction with vendors (e.g., internal surveys), identifying areas for improvement or where vendors can provide value-add. Coordinate with business areas on deficiencies / possible improvements and assist in working with vendors on corrective action programs or in implementing value-add items.

Identify and track vendor issue escalations and resolutions. Participate with business partners in resolving escalations.

Conduct and / or participate in account reviews with strategic and other selected vendors to ensure business relationships are fostered and maintained. Formulate and implement strategies to improve customer / vendor relationships with strategic and other selected vendors. Determine opportunities where such vendors can improve performance and / or lower cost.

In consultation with business partners and ITVM staff, develop annual objectives for selected vendors with the goals of reducing costs, improving performance, and driving efficiencies. Aggregate and report on business partner and vendor plans, progress, and results.

Assist, with the negotiation of any scope changes to contracts.

Develop and maintain strong working relationships with business partners and actively represent ITVM. Serve as a point of escalation to resolve contract or vendor performance issues and serve as a liaison between the business and Supply Chain to come to agreement on contractual issues.

Provide training, as appropriate, to business partners on ITVM policies, standards, processes, and procedures.

Design and maintain documented policies, standards, processes, and procedures necessary to accomplish the functions of the position.

Position will be filled at the appropriate salary grade based upon the skills, knowledge, and experience of the selected candidate.
