Southern California Edison’s (SCE’s) Customer Service Organizational Unit (CS) shares the responsibility to safely deliver reliable, affordable electricity to our customers. We support this effort by working to meet customer expectations. Customer Service is dedicated to operational excellence and innovative thinking through our workforce in our call center, field operations, billing and payment center, outage and demand-side management and other service offerings.

Position Overview

This position will report to the Integrated Demand Side Management (IDSM) Manager at the Irwindale Business Center (IBC) location within Southern California Edison’s (SCE) Customer Service Operations Division, Customer Contact Center. The Technical Specialist will review and analyze applications, invoices, and supporting documents such as manufacturer specification sheets and contractor submittals to determine program eligibility and incentives for IDSM Energy Efficiency programs for our commercial customers.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for reviewing applications and invoices to determine if project meets program eligibility.

  • Reviews equipment and specifications for program eligibility.

  • Ensures supporting documents from customers and third parties in compliance with program terms and conditions as part of the review process to determine incentive amounts and approvals.

  • Processes applications in stages, on time, and within Service Level Agreements.

  • Ensures customers and program requirements are met and within deadlines.

  • Performs other responsibilities and duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A combination of education, training, and experience in the professional, business, or technical discipline equivalent to those typically possessed by a high school graduate.

  • Must have one or more years of knowledge working with Energy Efficiency measures such as, but not limited to lighting, refrigeration, or food service equipment.

  • Experience working in Customer Relationship Management (CRM).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, i.e. Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint.

Desired Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a professional, business, or technical discipline or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

  • Self –managed and works well individually and in a team environment.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with CRM and SMART.

  • Demonstrated experience meeting performance expectations.

  • Demonstrated ability to resolve problems, questions, or situations in compliance with defined procedures.

  • Ability to prioritize work.

  • Strong attention to detail and quality of work.

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship skills.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
