Southern California Edison’s (SCE’s) Customer Service Organizational Unit (CS) shares the responsibility to safely deliver reliable, affordable electricity to our customers. We support this effort by working to meet customer expectations. Customer Service is dedicated to operational excellence and innovative thinking through our workforce in our call center, field operations, billing and payment center, outage and demand-side management and other service offerings.

The job is…

As the Sourcing Vendor Management Senior Manager, you will join SCE’s Customer Service Operations Division (CSOD). You will provide leadership, direction, and vision to develop outsource strategies to improve customer satisfaction, advance innovative solutions, improve technology and reduce operating costs. You will be responsible for the overall sourcing strategy in CSOD, execution of contracts with supplier and management of supplier performance. This includes advancing innovative solutions and evaluating supplier capabilities. Additionally, you will develop, negotiate, implement, and carry out contract terms and conditions with the supplier, such as ensuring customer satisfaction, service level, and order accuracy, supplier reliability, etc. You will be responsible for an integrated sourcing strategy that aligns with the long-term goals and operating plans of SCE’s contact center and revenue services to achieve a fiscally responsible, high level of customer experience.

Day to day…

  • Manage employees, establish performance expectations and goals for employees aligned with Company objectives, policies and procedures

  • Lead, train and develop staff by providing direction, work plans, timely feedback, mentorship and support. Demonstrate what we value through decisions and actions. Promote the Company’s safety culture to ensure a safe work environment.

  • Coordinate with senior leaders to develop sourcing requirements and vendor performance indicators; handle vendor performance.

  • Develop, negotiate, implement, and carry out contract terms and conditions to ensure positive customer experience at a reduce cost

  • Lead all aspects of the development, recommendation, and implementation of policies, procedures and processes to ensure consistent application by supplier, achievement of service standards, improvement in customer experience, as well as safety and regulatory compliance

  • Develop and run the overall outsource budget. Provide cost benefit analyses, monthly budget forecasts, etc.

Qualifications

Qualifications you need …

  • Five or more years of experience leading a group, unit or team.

  • At least two years of project management experience.

Other details that will set you up for success …

  • Bachelor degree or higher in business or related field.

  • Certificate in Contract Management

  • Project Management Certification

  • Knowledge of call center industry, call center operations experience and contract management experience

  • Billing operations experience

  • Field experience

  • Strong skillset and experience in Leadership, Interpersonal Communication, Decision making, Results delivery, People Management, and Business Planning
