The job is…

As the Robotics Developer, you will be part of the Business Intelligence team within the Customer Service Operations Division (CSOD) and will support the implementation and development of new robotic to serve the business needs of the department. This team member will assist in developing the short- and long-term robotics strategy and work closely with robotics vendors and/or develop home grown automation solutions serving the varying CSOD business processes ranging from back-office billing to front-office call center functions.

Day to day…

  • Research a business process from a workflow diagram and re-engineer the process to an automated solution.

  • Intake, Design, develop, and configuring Robotic Process Automation (RPA) software systems to meet business process and application requirements.

  • Develop deployment plan, follow the release management principles to release the solution into production environment.

  • Support and troubleshoot issues for implemented process automations as needed or requested by the business partner

  • Gathers requirements, preform impact analysis, prepare design documents, and draws conclusions on complex data and information after considering alternatives through independent research and analysis.

  • Translate business process diagrams to system requirements in the development of automation solutions utilizing robotics. Work closely with business SME’s to develop logical diagrams to accurately depict business processes within robotics design suite.

  • Writing and executing test scripts, while keeping test logs.

  • Development of data prep to be processed by robot. This would include writing queries against system tables utilizing tools to aggregate data and developing the most efficient process for robot to run data.

  • Develop robotic solutions through computer programming in C-Sharp, SQL, Visual Basic, Java, C++, C object-oriented languages & expertise in Access database.

  • Implementing changes to coincide with systems of record and conduct user acceptance tests and implement solutions.

  • Partner closely with IT and robotics vendor to trouble-shoot, problem-solve and develop solutions to meet business needs.

  • Hand-offs to business process owners Robotics staff for maintenance, supporting business production and technical capacity plans, as well as scheduling needs.

  • Providing change management support for Robotics Lead and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

Qualifications you need …

  • Bachelor Degree or higher in Computer Science or related discipline.

  • Five (5) or more years of demonstrated experience in systems development, support, maintenance and or technical operations support.

  • Two (2) or more years of software or database development experience.

  • Two (2) or more years of experience in programming and software development in one of more of the listed languages: C++, C Sharp, Java, Visual Basic, Access databases or other Object-oriented computing languages.

Other details that will set you up for success …

  • Master Degree Computer Science and/or related field.

  • Experience in system and process implementations across multiple organizations.

  • Experience using and developing in automation tools.

  • Experience developing and delivering technical presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Demonstrated experience identifying business problems and supporting the creation of business and system requirements to develop and propose technical solutions.

  • Understands the software development life-cycle, including but not limited to practical work experience in developing and translating logical and physical system diagrams, development of business requirements and system requirements, executing user-acceptance testing.

  • Strong understanding and proficiency in systems design: experience in Rational Rose, Visio, or other types of systems diagram tools.

  • Database development experience: Oracle, SQL Server, Access database or equivalent databases.

  • Ability to review project deliverables for completeness and quality, and compliance with established project standards.

  • Knowledge of project management.

  • 7 or more years of experience using and developing in robotics automation tools.

  • RPA Certification.

  • Technical expertise and advanced experience with any RPA platform/tool preferred (UI Path etc.).

  • Demonstrated experience in working collaboratively with operational and technical teams to deliver projects by assigned deadlines.

  • Ability to think analytically with strong problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to understand business logic and processes workflow and to conceptualize it as an automated solution.

  • Ability to gather and interpret relevant data and information.
