Under general supervision, is responsible for assignments involving the collection, classification and analysis of economic, financial and tariff data relating to rate design, modification and evaluation: Performs regulatory studies and recommends policy decisions. May represent IPL in the MISO market and act as internal advisor on related RTO matters
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Designs and maintain tariffs or modify existing tariffs to satisfy revenue requirements for the company or to accomplish specific goals.
Keeps a breast of current developments in the field of regulatory proceedings and decisions, statistical methodology, new and revised tariffs of other companies, and economic and financial trends.
Prepares graphic illustration to present data quickly and in a comprehensive manner. Prepares reports and special studies as may be requested from time to time
Provide written reports which includes objective, fact - based and well – reasoned recommendations and rationale
Serves as an advisor to regulatory leadership on complex RTO issues.
Support the preparation and filling of base rate proceedings, and related reporting requirements.
Monitor and research regulatory trends in the industry and provide written memos and support analysis for consideration by regulatory leadership.
Support efforts of tariffs & Rate Administration.
Perform financial analysis and analysis key
Carry out projects and date analysis
Four years of college degree (or equivalent) in Business, Economics, Engineering, Accounting or Mathematics.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Skilled in researching data and preparing analysis
Excellent communications both written and verbal
Self -starter and capable of functioning with minimum supervision
Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Suite, Excel and Access.
Good organizational skills, be able to prioritize the work and meet deadlines.
Three to Five years of Experience
