Job Summary: This position is bases in our Indianapolis office developing new business opportunities and managing existing customer accounts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • This position will report directly to the Operations Manager in the region and will be accountable for the sales performance of that region

  • Develops aspects of the sales plan pertaining to the region

  • Make sales calls to both new and existing customers to discuss Premier’s capabilities

  • Build a market position by locating, developing and negotiating new business relationships

  • Promote new business by effectively communicating Premier’s capabilities and ensuring all customers recognize these capabilities

  • Maintain a high level of rapport with customers and establish open lines of communication in order to ensure complete trust in Premier

  • Performs marketing support to promote Premier’s industry brand

  • Participate in trade shows and professional organizations

  • Serves as customer contact and liaison by following with customers after job completion

  • Develops project proposals and quotes based on customer requests, this includes writing quotes, proposals, documenting scope of work, proposal composition and work packet assembly

  • Follow through with customer needs and requests

  • Cultivate business opportunities by contacting potential customers as well as existing customers for future opportunities

  • Promote Premier as a great place to work for technicians and engineers

  • Protects Premier’s value by keeping information confidential

  • Strong organizational, communication and problem solving skills

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and work well under pressure to meet goals and deadlines

  • Ability to work independently while utilizing excellent judgement

  • Ability to effectively respond to customer needs and concerns

  • Must have intermediate level customer skills including Microsoft Office Suite

  • Communicates effectively, in writing and verbally, with customers, peers, management and owners

  • Thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic components used in power distribution systems

  • Knowledge of specialized equipment and diagnostic test techniques for commissioning, maintaining, servicing and testing electrical distribution equipment preferred but not required

Work Environment:

  • Must be willing to relocate to within 60 miles of a Premier office

  • Must be willing to take calls and travel outside the scope of normal business hours

Other Requirements:

  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment screening

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license

  • Must be willing to obtain a TWIC card, MSHA, NFPA 70-E and CPR training

Education and Work Experience:

  • At least 3 years of sales experience in electrical industrial environment; substation construction, electrical maintenance, electrical testing/commission and/or electrical apparatus repair
