Responsibilities

This position requires a self-starting, self-motivated individual who can perform, arrange for, track and oversee the repair of small and large distribution utility equipment including gas and diesel powered, hydraulically operated digger/derricks, personnel buckets and other construction equipment with minimum supervision. A focus on cost and limiting end user down time is a priority. Input of computer based maintenance records is a must. The ability to easily adapt and focus your job scheduling priorities is a bonus. Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without an accommodation.Employee is required to live in company provided housing on the North Umpqua Hydro Project.

Requirements

  • The successful applicant will be by training and/or experience a qualified automotive or mechanized construction equipment mechanic.

  • Successful completion of standardized qualifying examination is required and will be administered by PacifiCorp.

  • Must have a high school diploma or proof of equivalent.

  • Will possess or be able to obtain a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License.

  • Five years of experience repairing small and large distribution utility equipment is preferred.
