DTE Energy Senior Power Trader in Houston, Texas
Location: Houston, Texas
DTE Energy Trading (Houston Office) is seeking a short term fundamentals based PJM/MISO/NEPOOL Trader focusing on 12 months and in, with a positive trading track record ($2-4M minimum).
The Trader must have 10+ years of trading experience with particular experience using volatility measurements and a working knowledge of derivative instrument types. The Trader must have business knowledge covering both the theoretical definitions and practical implications of liquidity, bid/ask spreads, correlation, risk measurement, potential reward as a risk:reward ratio, position sizing, risk management, and price-neutral strategies.
Generate P/L in excess of 1M in first year through speculative trading
Develop and maintain market research tools
Works well with colleagues, in a collaborative team environment
Bachelor degree (Accounting, Economics, Finance or Technical degree preferred)
Experience in proprietary trading, position management, and VAR calculations
Excellent communication skills
In-depth market knowledge
