Quanta Services Facilities Associate in Houston, Texas


The Facilities Associate is responsible for assisting in the daily functions of the corporate office. This position will assist the Facilities Manager with vendor management, space management and will be responsible for breakroom operations. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, reliable, detail oriented and demonstrate excellent customer service skills. This position will also serve as receptionist at Galleria II and receptionist support for Williams Tower.


  • Welcomes visitors, in person or on the telephone, answering or referring inquiries.

  • Directs visitors and notifies company personnel of visitor arrival.

  • Maintains security by following procedures, monitoring logbook and issuing visitor badges.

  • Maintains log of temporary badges; all badges must be signed in/out with name of individual using badge as well as time taken/returned.

  • Maintains telecommunications system by following manufacturer’s instructions for house phone and console operation.

  • Maintains safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.

  • Receptionist support and backup for Williams Tower reception desk.

  • Oversees routine repair work and general maintenance activities and/or coordinates more complex repairs with third party service providers including but not limited to janitorial services and tradespeople, as well as s ubmit and address employee submitted work order requests maintenance items & overtime air requests.

  • Responsible for reviewing/working the Service Now tickets that relate to parking, new/extend badge, maintenance request.

  • General maintenance duties as assigned including but not limited to: change light bulbs, inspect floors, coordinate chair repairs.

  • Assists with planning, coordinating and executing workspace moves for employees/contractors.

  • Assists training room set up in anticipation for large meetings.

  • Perform mail services functions including sorting, distribution and collection of US Mail, UPS, etc. This also includes operating mail service equipment such as postage machines, complex inserts, sorters, bar coders and fax.

  • Coordinates Iron Mountain shredding and document storage services.

  • Maintain breakroom operations by ensuring breakrooms are appropriately stocked daily with company provided supplies and refreshment offerings.

  • Orders all breakroom/facilities’ supplies for Galleria Tower 2.

  • With direction from Mgr, Facilities, reviews, negotiates, approves Quanta Services supply orders for all corporate departments and Codes Staples Ghost Card & Facilities pcard statements.

  • Prepares and performs monthly parking audit reports.

  • Adheres to internal standards, policies and procedures.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Required Education and Experience:

High School diploma or GED and 2 – 5 years of experience in field or related area.
