The Digital Marketing Manager will work with internal key stakeholders to understand business and campaign requirements for deployment and automation of customer lifecycle journey communications and email campaigns. The candidate will successfully develop, execute, and optimize all aspects of the campaign operations process end-to-end, including: requirements gathering and documentation, list development and segmentation, content creation and personalization, customer journey workflows, journey automation, quality assurance testing, inbox deliverability, measurement, and optimization.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct marketing business process discovery sessions and develop the functional/technical requirements for projects

  • Project management entire scope of project from technical/functional requirements, creative development and liaison with business and project teams

  • Translate business requirements to construct builds for journeys and automations

  • Work with internal IT and operations team to develop APIs and/or queries for customer data to flow into marketing cloud

  • Experience using tools within Salesforce Marketing Cloud including: Journey Builder, Email Studio, Content Builder, Analytics Builder, Audience Builder and Data Designer

  • Experience working with automation or developing automations within Salesforce Marketing Cloud to trigger journeys/emails

  • Ability to build emails in HTML or within SFMC Content Builder and deploy emails on single send projects

  • Work with internal creative team or agency to develop content and creative for projects

  • QC, proofread and edit HTML email content to ensure error-free work goes out

  • QC monthly journey automations to ensure current automations are running properly and trouble shoot with stakeholders and technical support team for fixes

  • Trouble shoot ad hoc request from key stakeholder on issues regarding customer email communications, customer journeys/automations

  • Analyze and interpret key performance metrics (including open, click and conversion rates, subscriber retention, among others) on all email campaigns to provide actionable insights and optimization ideas for continuous improvement

  • Build and maintain email segmentation / lists to create and enhance customer engagement & retention with email campaigns

What We Look For:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • 5-7 years of email and technical marketing experience and a passion for digital marketing

  • Experience with or knowledge of email marketing automation & advertising technology platforms

  • Experience in energy industry is a plus

  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS, SQL programing language

  • Strong client management and scoping experience

  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously

  • Solid project management skills

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute plans and exceed client expectations and project goals

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and phenomenal communication skills – written, verbal and non-verbal
