Eversource Energy Analyst in Hooksett, New Hampshire

Job Description Summary:

Responsible for providing analytical support for Eversource business functions. This could include participating on task forces, special studies, business cases, financial and economic analysis, cost benefit analysis, development and monitoring of standards and metrics, etc.

Essential Functions:

  • Analyzes processes and data and converts this into value added thinking and information
  • Identifies opportunities for process change and/or continuous improvement and facilitates the acceptance and implementation of said change
  • Understands information technology solutions and how they apply to business needs
  • Performs or assists in ad-hoc querying and reporting as requested by Eversource management or personnel
  • Works to analyze both data and processes
  • Develops reports, prepares and delivers presentations, writes procedures and performs other activities as needed
  • Will receive a storm assignment and be called upon for restoration and emergency efforts with little notice
  • Performs administrative tasks as required
  • Could support and train field personnel in Operations policies and procedures
  • Track and report on field compliance with company operating procedures
  • Performs, implements, and provides support of special projects within Operations Support as necessary
  • Assisting with management and reporting of the Cascade Database for Operations
  • Works within team environment to complete various department tasks.

Technical Knowledge & Skill

  • Must be able to work within a team environment as well as autonomously
  • Possess strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
  • Ability to work within stressful situations and within tight deadlines
  • Strong understanding of Customer Operations and the design build process
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, statistical and mathematical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiar with budgeting and accounting concepts
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, charts, and building functions required
  • Familiarity with Word and Power Point preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency with development and utilization of Microsoft Access databases preferred
  • Experience with electrical utilities and electrical distribution and operations systems preferred
  • Knowledge of systems such as Cascade, DARS, MIMS, Sundry Billing system, Maximo, CO Databases, EGIS, STORMS, etc. desirable

Education & Experience

A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, finance, or the equivalent in combined education and experience is required

Minimum (5) five years of related experience is required. Related experience in a utility company is preferred.
