Wisconsin Public Service, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Heavy Equipment Specialist in our Green Bay, WI location. This position is a day shift position working the hours of 7:00am - 3:30pm. The role of the Heavy Equipment Specialist is to provide services related to materials management.
Core activities include:
Material handling, material movement, materials coordination, material arrangement and materials disbursement.
Ensure efficient and safe transportation of materials and equipment between Company warehouses and other designated locations by transporting and delivering supplies via semi-trailer trucks or other various types of heavy equipment.
Employee must be able to work as part of a team along with the ability to work independently at remote Company locations where independent decision making is critical.
Attention to detail is critical to all duties performed.
This position utilizes an array of equipment including but not limited to semi-trailer trucks, truck mounted cranes, material handling equipment (i.e. forklifts and other power industrial trucks) and computers.
Certification from an accredited semi-truck driving school with a minimum of one year experience operating on public roadways.
In lieu of the certification, applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two years driving semi-tractors or heavy equipment operating experience.
Valid commercial driver’s license (Class A, B, C & D) and all applicable endorsements.
3+ years of warehouse and powered industrial truck experience.
Previous experience using personal computers.
Qualified to operate forklift, cranes, and other large lifting equipment.
Qualified to drive semi-tractor trailers and other CDL rated vehicles.
Experience with materials management at a utility.
Knowledge of materials used in electrical distribution, gas distribution and Power Plant related processes.
Ability to train others with capacity for responsibility, decision‑making, and adapt to other duties as required.
