Join our more than 750 employees. A bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance or equivalent is preferred. Professional certification preferred but not required. Ideal candidates would have knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and knowledge of the FERC Uniform System of Accounts. Successful candidate will be involved in the integrity and process controls of the overall capital project process from determination if a project is eligible for capitalization to proper plant-in-service classification. This includes accurate accumulation of costs, determination of units of property and recording in appropriate FERC plant-in-service accounts. Review distribution and transmission related work orders to identify units of property installed and/or removed from service, assign cost to units and record in the fixed assets system in a timely manner. Knowledge of capital budget systems and fixed assets tracking systems is preferred. This position desires analytical and critical thinking abilities, Excel spreadsheet skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills to work effectively with internal and external parties.
