NJR Home Services, a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources is seeking an Electrical QA Inspector to ensure that electrical work is performed in accordance with NEC Codes and company safety and quality standards. Coordinates any necessary remediation work. Identifies, develops, and administers related training programs in support of the Sales Supervisor Electrical.

Major Responsibilities:

• Performs quality inspections on electrical work performed by the Electrical, Installation, and Plumbing departments to ensure compliance with NEC codes and company quality standards.

• Coordinates remediation work due to failed electrical inspections. Also partners with code officials and customers accordingly to resolve said inspections.

• Identifies, develops, and administers training programs based on the results of quality inspections as well as code and technology changes. Mentors employees as needed regarding this.

• Provides subject matter expert guidance to the Electrical, Installation, and Plumbing departments in terms of electrical codes and standards as well as manufacturers installation requirements for products installed by the company.

• Supports the Sales Supervisor Electrical with the day-to-day management of the Electrical Team.

• Strategizes with manager, NJRHS Leadership, and field personnel to identify related business opportunities and to develop new areas for business expansion.

• Liaises with customers on electrical projects, answers related questions and resolves issues.

• Partners with the Generator Sales Consultant to ensure proper installations and maximize customer satisfaction.

• Performs estimates and develops installation plans for chargeable electric work.

• Supports the Sales Supervisor Electric in maintaining a strong understanding of the terms and conditions stated in the Articles of Agreement between NJR Home Services, and Local Union 1820 of the IBEW, AFL-CIO

Position Specifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred. Commensurate experience is acceptable.

• Requires a minimum of 5 to 10 years of electrical field experience

• Must be a NJ licensed electrician

• Must have a thorough understanding of electrical codes and standards (NEC, IGC, NFPA) as well as manufacturers installation requirements for products installed by the company

• Supervisory experience is preferred

• Excellent customer service skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

• Highly organized and self-motivated with the ability to source leads, make cold calls, follow-up calls, and visit potential clients

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment

• Experience with unionized workforce
