Portland General Electric Associate Parks Technician in Estacada, Oregon

This is an exciting time to join Portland General Electric. This is a temporary position that may last up to 6 months .

Associate Parks Technician

Pay to begin at $18.00 per hour based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service

Responds to questions from guests. Provides information on park facilities. Communicates rules and policies. Supports emergency responders as needed.

Maintenance Work and Vendor Management

Under the guidance of other technicians, may perform maintenance tasks using tools and equipment, including renovating and repairing irrigation systems, upgrading water and septic systems, restoring landscaped areas and general maintenance. Assists with performing or overseeing enhancement and maintenance activities on project wildlife habitat lands, including noxious weed control, juniper thinning, fence repair/replacement and seeding. May perform janitorial duties.

Processing Payments

Processes, records and reconciles payments and reservations. Completes end-of-day cash reports. Escalates questions or problems.

Program Administration

Assists in program administration by gathering data (e.g., water monitoring) and reporting to other technicians. Installs and/or maintains signage to ensure public safety.

Special Projects

Assists with construction in accordance with plans and specifications.



Requires high school diploma or successful completion of General Education Development (GED) test.


Typically two or fewer years of experience in parks, hospitality, resource management or other related field.
