Human Performance & Learning Section Manager -- Nuclear Fuel Services, Inc. - Erwin, TN
Summary Description of Job:
This position is resposible for the overall direction, management, and operations of the following functions: Training, Procedure Programs, Human Performance, and Safety Culture Improvement.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Act as maangement interface for key human performance and learning iniatives within NFS operations.
Provide senior leadership and direction to assigned staff/manager.
Develop coordination and cooperation within the company to successfully meet strategic objectives.
Direct program elements focused on advancing the safety culture, rewriting/maintaining procedures, providing training to maintain plant operations, and implementing the Human Performance Process.
Team leadership, mentoring skills, exceptional written and verbal communication skills acquired through experience are essential for success.
Education Requirements of Job:
B. S. degree
Experience Requirements of Job (Beyond educational or equivalent requirements):
A minimu of 15 (15) years nuclear industry experience in various operations, professional or management functions. A broad working knowledge of radiation protection, material control & accountability, and criticality safety required. Five (5) years in a management position in the nuclear industry is desired.
Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter. Position requires U.S. Citizenship (with no dual citizenship) and ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance which involves an extensive criminal and financial background investigation, drug test and previous employment reference verifications.
