Engineering Director -- Nuclear Fuel Services, Inc. - Erwin, TN
Summary Description of Job:
Overall responsibility for providing engineering support/direction for NFS.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Administration and implementation of the company's capital program. This includes preparation of budget plan, review, approval, and recommendation of all capital expenditures.
Review and control project expenditures.
Review and approve facility expense expenditures.
Direct engineering effort for on and offsite decommissioning, process production endeavors, facility improvements/repairs, and new business programs. This includes planning, cost estimates, schedules, designs, installation, and start-up operation support.
Direct engineering support to new business group for proposals, quotations, and awarded contracts.
Direct and guide engineering sections and CAD group to maintain effective utilization of personnel and equipment.
Direct the services on contracted architects, engineers, and construction firms.
Member of NFS Safety & Safeguards Review Committee responsible for reviewing and approving all facility operations and some off-site operations.

Experience Requirements of Job (Beyond educational or equivalent):
Experience to include minimum of five (5) years' supervision experience. Senior position requiring practical knowledge base gained from lessons learned.
Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter. Position requires U.S. Citizenship (with no dual citizenship) and ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance which involves an extensive criminal and financial background investigation, drug test and previous employment reference verifications.
