Job Summary

A Measurement, Controls and Communications (MC&C) Technician I is needed to support the greater Williston, North Dakota area.

The Measurement, Controls and Communications (MC&C) Technician assists in the maintenance and calibration of regulating and measuring equipment including electronic instrumentation used to monitor gas quality and assist in the maintenance and calibration of analytical instruments and sampling systems.

Job responsibilities:

  • Assist in the maintenance and calibration of regulating and measuring equipment such as pneumatic control systems and electronic measurement devices.

  • Assist in the maintenance of the accuracy of gas measurement devices used by customers.

  • Assist in the validation of the accuracy of gas measurement devices used by other companies.

  • Assist in the calibration and maintenance of analytical instruments

  • Produce calibration reports.

While developing in this role, will be expected to become knowledgeable of the operation and maintenance of gas regulating and measurement equipment and electronics pertaining to gas measurement and monitoring equipment

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

  • 1-2 years of automation or measurement experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of basic math with decimals and fractions.

  • Knowledge and ability to use a personal computer and related software that meets department needs.

  • Skill in the use of hand tools.

  • Ability to handle difficult technical measurement, control and communication situations.

  • Ability to understand and complete written and oral instructions.

  • Ability to see objects at close range and to determine the distance and relationship between objects.

  • Ability to match or discriminate between colors.

  • Ability to respond to audible and visual alarms.

  • Ability to lift or move 80 pounds.

  • Ability to respond to emergency conditions which may include: changing flat tires, chaining up vehicle, operating jack, performing minor maintenance, and operating a two-way radio and/or cell phone.
