Xcel Energy is expanding our customer contact center in Eau Claire and we are looking for motivated individuals to join our team. The Sky Park Contact Center operating hours are 24/7.

Due to the current pandemic circumstances , o nboarding and new hire training will take place virtually. To accommodate this, all new hires will need to have access to reliable high-speed internet, and a place in their home or other location where they can attend new hire training and be able to work without interruption. Longer-term work from home options are also available to qualified candidates.

The position starts at $14.25 per hour with shift and Bilingual premiums available

New hires will be eligible for $250 retention bonuses at 4 months, 8 months, and 12 months

(Total of $750) if employee is meeting expectations.

Schedule: Training Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:30am – 6:00pm; permanent schedule options with start times between 9:30 and 11:30 will be reviewed during information sessions.

  • Performance and sales incentives As a Customer Care Associate, a typical day might include the following:

  • Creating an experience where customers know they have been heard, understood and feel valued

  • Educate and sell a variety of products and services, while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction

  • Helping customers understand complex electric and gas rate options across multiple service territories

  • Providing technical support to customers for our online and self-service options

  • Responding to gas and electric emergency situations with a high degree of accuracy to ensure public safety Minimum Requirements

  • 1+ year of customer service experience required, 18 months preferred

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Experience selling products and services preferred
