Job Description Summary:
Role and Scope of Position:
Schedules, monitors and manages daily work assignments for the Company’s 24/7 field operations personnel, including dispatching emergency calls related to public safety. Dispatch routine service calls related o testing and repair of customer and Company owned appliances and equipment. Dispatch routine installations and removals of gas meters and associated equipment for the Company.
Manages the scheduling and coordination of dispatch work force personnel, on a twenty-four hour day, seven days a week basis, to meet dynamic work flows, resulting primarily from customer requests and emergency conditions. Determines the nature and extent of both emergency and routine trouble calls. Assigns appropriate service personnel based upon the nature of the trouble call, monitors progress and adjusts work force as needed.
Manages the daily routing and scheduling of the field operations personnel throughout the Eversource system. Develops, implements and monitors the effectiveness of the customer servicing and work assignments.
Manages customer information activities for Dispatch relative to Meters Service Mechanics. Assist by providing informational requests related to meter and service issues, appliance repair, customer inquiries, turn on or offs, service interruptions and emergencies.
Manages Meter Service support function as it relates to order closing, timesheet input, red tag policy, PSAP receivables, demolitions, and coordination with Building Inspector and PT appointments.
Manages dispatching policies and procedures: develops, implements and monitors the effectiveness of these policies and how they affect public safety, distribution, meter service mechanics, and customer service.
Collaborates with other processes in the enhancements and modification to the CCIS, CAD, Clickserve and related systems and equipment to meet field needs, corporate mandates, and legislation, regulation and internal control requirements.
Develops and monitors operating budget for both Dispatch support functions.
Performs emergency On-Call duties for Dispatch and Storm Duty as assigned. Maintains continuity and works jointly with other members of Eversource electric management during incident related problems to our distribution system as they pertain to public safety.
Technical Knowledge/Skill: Knowledge of electric metering, regulation and associated equipment, including knowledge of appliance service business practices. Good working knowledge of or ability to learn, the CAD system, Clickserve, ACOS, Wordnet C2 and Workstation.
Education: High school diploma or the equivalent
Experience: Twelve years of related experience.
Licenses & Certifications: This is a safety sensitive position and subject to random drug testing.
