Edison Electric Institute HR Accounting Analyst in District Of Columbia

Overview

The Edison Electric Institute (EEI), the association that represents all U.S. investor-owned electric companies, has an outstanding opportunity for HR Accounting Analyst.

Responsibilities

This position is a part of the Human Resources team at EEI. The position will be responsbile for the following:

  • Provide support to all HR accounting operations

  • Responsible for annual preparation and analysis of Cooperative Savings Plan and HRA Plan contributions

  • Run budget and financial reports

  • Stay current on the company‚Äôs organization structure, personnel policy, and federal and state laws regarding employment practices

  • Work with the team to manage employee benefits and educate employees on programs and resources

  • Responsible for benefit plan financial reporting

  • Prepare and analyze needed schedules for the completion of EEI's annual Form 5500 reports and 990 filing, and GAAP audit

  • Serve as backup for payroll processing

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

The successful applicant will have:

  • BA/BS degree required having taken courses in Accounting and/or Business Administration preferred

  • 1-3 years of accounting and financial transactions experience

  • Excel experience with comfort manipulating data and using pivot tables, vlookup and index match

  • Ability to set priorities in a demanding work environment,

  • Strong verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills with the abillity to deal with sensitive employee matters in a confidential and tackful manner

  • Creative and resourceful, able to work independently and demonstrated ability to respond to a variety of multiple tasks and situations

  • A productive member of a team, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Prior Human Resources experience is preferred.
