Summary: Senior Management Team Member that develops and executes our growth strategy through market analytics and planning to identify addressable new prospective markets and customers. This role aligns our value proposition with the needs of an intentional targeted audience to meet BTD’s goals and objectives in the areas of growth, profitability and market diversification.

Essential Functions: This position is responsible for the following tasks, duties and responsibilities:

  • Manages the organization's business development efforts meant to generate, pursue, and close business with prospect accounts.

  • Develops strategic direction of growth with new prospective Markets and Customers derived from market research and analytics.

  • Advisor to Executive Leadership on company future direction in support of strategic planning.

  • Creates and executes growth strategies to drive healthy End Market diversification for each BTD manufacturing site.

  • Oversees implementation and administration of the organization's business development program.

  • Assesses potential new markets, evaluates business opportunities, and develops strategies for targeting potential markets and customers.

  • Establishes and enforces standards governing lead generation, prospect contact and follow-up, and opportunity qualification.

  • Analyzes and assesses customer needs and provides guidance to the organization's offerings or services as potential solutions.

  • Marketing/Branding- Leverage BTD Value Proposition as a differentiation

  • Provides pricing feedback to ensure we are price competitive in reflection to actual market based pricing

  • Analyzes Existing account relationships to identify opportunities to refresh relationship where opportunity exists.

  • Expanding marketing efforts with SEO optimization and direct marketing campaigns working with contracted service.

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Represent BTD professionally and in support of BTD core values.

  • Assists in the development of personnel through positive reinforcement and coaching techniques.

  • Responsibilities include hiring, planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and assuring problems are resolved; developing leadership in all people.

Education, Experience and Skills Required: 5 years of recent Selling experience in a related manufacturing field, along with the following skills and abilities would be beneficial.

  • Travel availability of 50-75%

  • Ability to plan, organize, direct and coordinate presentations and marketing activities.

  • Excellent presentation skills with strong verbal, data and visual representation.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Social networking abilities through social media and other networks.

  • General Knowledge of metal fabrication markets and manufacturing methods highly-desired but not require.

  • Ability to develop good/key relationships with internal and external customers.

  • Ability to show initiative by seeking out and identifying new opportunities within Company

  • Capability of working with a high degree of personal discipline.

  • Knowledge of office practices and procedures.

  • Self-Starter- Ability to drum up business through inherent desire to unite businesses.

  • Fluent in all Microsoft Office programs.
