Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Function)
The position provides high-level administrative and clerical support to the BHE treasury department to achieve corporate goals and objectives. Responsibilities include analyzing and reconciling daily treasury activities for the company's bank accounts, entering payment information into banking systems, verifying payments, and creating, maintaining and updating spreadsheets and databases to facilitate cash positioning and payment processing. Additionally, this position supports the VP, Treasurer and BHE treasury department in coordinating meetings and schedules, analyzing information requests, drafting correspondence, analyzing trends and creating system-generated reports. The position involves contact with executive staff of the company, the general public, governmental agencies, law firms, senior management and co-workers.
Provide high-level administrative and clerical support (verbal and written) for the executive and BHE treasury department. Perform word processing, all types of correspondence (memos, letters, etc.) and numerous periodic reports. Prepare presentation materials, assembling presentations from various sources and standardizing format.
Provide treasury operations support including the following tasks: analyze and reconcile daily treasury activities for the company's bank accounts; enter payment information into various banking software systems and verify payments, as assigned; create, maintain and update spreadsheets and databases; compile, organize and analyze a variety of cash management related information; assist and support MEC Treasurer in process for establishing and renewing letters of credit.
Perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.
Associate's degree in business or related major or equivalent administrative work related experience. (Typically three years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess an associate's degree.)
A minimum of four years of experience in an administrative/secretarial role, treasury or bank-related experience.
Banking, accounting and finance skills necessary to perform activities related to compiling, organizing and tabulating financial data.
Strong personal computer skills. Demonstrated proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Basic knowledge and ability in software packages such as Access and Visio. The ability to create documents and maintain information in department-specific software packages.
Proficiency in keying and software program features based on required assessments.
Effective oral and written communication skills. Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently. Ability to adapt procedures, processes and techniques to resolve complex problems and issues.
