During COVID-19 Pandemic this position may require the ability to temporarily work remote within the company service territory until company protocol dictates return to the office criteria has been met. This position can ultimately be based in Denver, CO or Minneapolis, MN.
Perform and coordinate financial modeling of Partnership Development initiatives that will support the partnership team’s business cases for the CCIO organization that create long-term growth and create value for our customers and shareholders. Responsible for running and maintaining financial models used to evaluate potential business opportunities. The financial business case will be a critical element in the consultative approach toward helping other business unit leaders make informed decisions around build, buy and/or partnership decisions. This position will focus primary on electric vehicles, technology and customer-related partnership initiatives along with supporting the overall team on key partnership initiatives.
Applies knowledge of financial modeling to measure, analyze, and forecast potential impacts of partnership opportunities, with a strong focus around electric vehicles, technology and customer-related partnerships. Work closely with Partnership and Corporate Development team members to promptly and accurately model projects under various scenarios and sensitivities.
Collaborate with Company experts to develop model inputs and assumptions. Analyze model output and identify unusual data or unexpected results. Effectively communicate results through concise oral and written communications.
Support and undertake market research related to key partnership focus areas.
Provide timely and accurate assistance to Regulatory and Legal in preparing petitions for approval of proposed projects. Prepare market intelligence responses to information requests as needed.
Maintain the Partnership Development financial model. Find ways to enhance the model design, capabilities, flexibility, and ease of use. Work with Finance & Intelligence vendors to monitor and gather key external data inputs that influence partnership decisions.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
Minimum 5 years finance or accounting experience in the electric and gas utility industry or related experience.
Thorough understanding of revenue requirements across Company jurisdictions.
In-depth knowledge of valuation principles.
Experience in project management.
Demonstrated skills in analysis, problem solving, customer service and relationship building.
Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office applications.

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $72,100 to $117,600 per year
