Volt Power, LLC. is currently seeking a qualified Mechanic with Heavy Duty experience to perform repairs and preventative maintenance for commercial vehicles at our Dallas/ Mesquite Texas location. This position will report to directly to the Lead Mechanic and will support Volt Power’s Fleet organization.


  • Repair of construction type fleet equipment and vehicles

  • Repairs diesel engines and hydraulic systems

  • Use system to track progress and completion of repairs done each day

  • Generating repair orders with computerized maintenance management system and diagnostic software

  • Repair of electrical systems for utility bucket, digger and pickup trucks

  • Must be able to perform arc welding and fabrication

  • Order parts, tracking parts inventory and maintaining vendor relationships

  • Routine preventive maintenance of fleet vehicles at assigned intervals

  • Must uphold all company safety requirements on the job

  • Must be able to complete repairs on the following vehicle functions/parts:

  • DEF systems

  • Transmission repairs

  • Differential repairs

  • Air brakes

  • Vehicle A/C

  • Chassis


  • Heavy Duty Mechanic Experience strongly preferred

  • Must have ability to multi-task and ensure repairs are completed in a timely manner

  • DESIRED to have a Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A)

  • 2+ Years OTR Truck and fleet equipment experience preferred

  • Experience with diagnostic software and computer-based maintenance systems preferred

  • Ability to stand for 40+ hours per week

  • Ability to work scheduled overtime as needed

  • Travel will be required (overnight stays eligible for per diem)
